Following the River from Kourtaliotiko to Preveli Palm Beach
Great tour of 8 km for nature-loving people through the Kourtaliotiko Gorge down to the Preveli Palm Beach with dy-namic changes of the environment during the walking. You will enjoy the spectacular views and plethora of wild Cretan flowers, herbs and river animals.

Tour start from PlakiasWe Start by bus from Plakias and after 15 minutes drive we stop at the middle of Kourtaliotiko Gorge.
Our walk start at the middle of the Kourtaliotiko gorge walking down to Agios Nikolaos church. First you will see the Kourtaliotiko waterfalls, then we will follow the pathway through the gorge following the river until the Venetian bridge.
At a Banana Garden kantina or at the taverna of the Bridge Here we will have a break for a re-freshment. Then we will continue through hills with olive trees and later along the slope of the gorge to our final destination of the tour – to the Preveli Palm beach, where you will have time for swimming to relax on the beach or a small lunch. Then We return back to Plakias by boat.
Our experienced English and German Speaking guide guide know very well the path, nature and the history of the area and will be with you during the all walk.
