Maravel Botanical Garden tour offers the perfect way to spend peaceful moments. Set on a beautiful four-acre (13.000m²) area, Maravel Garden has more than 300 species of herbs and they are categorized accordingly such as: • Aromatic herbs • Medicinal herbs • Aromatic cum medical herbs.

Leaving Plakias we start a nice drive by our coach along the Kourtaliotiko Gorge arriving in the Botanical Garden before the village of Spili.

We start with a Herbal Garden Tour, administered by experienced guides. When you step into Maravel Garden, you will enter an oasis of herbs. The tour will last approximately 2 hours and it will give you a unique and memorable experience. Your guide will familiarize you with a wide range of native plants & herbs. You will be introduced to plants that have been used for centuries by the Cretan people for first aid, emergencies and the treatment of chronic Illnesses.

After the tour you will have approximately 2 hours, to visit of the traditional village of Spili, with its famous square with the lion-head fountains. The village has nice cafes, small tavernas, a folklore museum, the local monastery (site of bishop), that are worth visiting.
